The 2002 Ramona Air Fair
June 1, 2002
These photos were taken by me, Fred Bruenjes, at the 2002 Ramona Air Fair in Ramona, Californa (near San Diego). I attended on Saturday afternoon. Ramona Airport is primarily used as an air attack base for wildland fires. The CDF (California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection) flies a variety of aircraft out of the base to fight fires all over Southern California. Click here for CDF air attack info.
These pictures were taken with a Canon D60 digital SLR camera and 28-135mm F/3.5-5.6 IS lens.

This engine is from the fire house "down the street" from my house.
This is the downtown Ramona ambulance.
OK, this one wasn't at the airshow, but it did land in back of my house earlier in the morning.
An F/A-18C Hornet from the USS Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier. There was another from the USS Nimitz, too!
